Long ago, when the universe was created, twenty six basic pieces of matter were also created. They were known as elements, and they were named after each letter of the alphabet. For a full list of the elements, go here.
There were five base elements. In order for complex molecular structures to be formed, one or more of these elemental signatures needed to be present. Those elements are:
- "Argon", which retained the property of confidence,
- "Bairon", which retained the property of greed,
- "Chrome", which retained the property of strength,
- "Deidon", which retained the property of magic,
- "Zinthos", which retained the property of the Ultima Weapon
These five elements made up the structure of society, but then something odd happened. Zinthos began to dwindle, and more and more chemists used it greedily, hogging every bit of the perfect element. Variations of the Ultima Weapon were formed that never should have existed, demons spawned from the element. It became known as something of pure evil. Thus, it was buried away, in the Tomb of Zinthos, never to see the light of day again. As for the creations, most were destroyed. Only the Ultima Weapon was allowed to remain. Of course, somehow, there were still Twisted Weapons out there, as with any good story.
Times have since changed, and the world is now more modernized. Chemists and the Elements still exist, but they are not as powerful an influence as they once were. There is even a 27th element now, named Qxyber(qwicks-eye-burr), used in biotechnological studies. Zinthos remains buried, many daring young chemists attempting to find it, but all failing. Only a select few will ever be able to find Zinthos and use it. These people will be pure of heart and soul, and able to manipulate its chemical structure for the good of man, rather than succumbing to greed.
But many say that there is no such thing as a person like that, that greed, hatred, and violence overrides any pure intentions, as it is human nature. They believe nobody can harness Zinthos, and fight desperately to see it terminated.
Here is where you come in. You, a young and aspiring chemist, have always dreamed of finding Zinthos like so many others. However, your motive is pure and selfless- Zinthos is the only thing that can rescue your father from the brink of death.
